Over the past 2-3 years, I have worked extensively across multiple offshore projects throughout the North Sea and Baltic Sea as an Offshore Medic with multiple companies such as Shell, Boskalis, BP, TOTAL and Heerema. My experience spans providing primary and emergency medical care, occupational health surveillance, and case management for crews ranging from 50 to 250 personnel. I have been responsible for maintaining fully equipped sickbays, coordinating medical evacuations, and ensuring compliance with offshore health and safety regulations.
Alongside my clinical duties, I have played an active role in health and safety management, conducting incident investigations, hazard reporting, and workplace inspections. I regularly deliver first aid and emergency response training, support medical emergency response plan (MERP) exercises, and contribute to health promotion and wellbeing initiatives onboard. My work often included water, noise, and radiation testing, Heli-admin support and collaboration with safety departments to maintain a strong health and safety culture.
