I utilized both Canvas and Gradient platform technologies to enhance students' learning experiences, integrating digital tools to support engagement and understanding. I planned and implemented project-based learning for both 6th and 8th grade classes, focusing on hands-on, inquiry-driven activities that fostered critical thinking. I also introduced phenomenon-based learning, encouraging students to explore real-world scientific concepts.
Over the course of my tenure, I mentored 30 students, supporting their academic growth and habits of success from 6th through 8th grade. I differentiated resources and assignments to ensure all students were appropriately challenged, meeting them at their individual learning levels. Additionally, I created a dedicated science website, directly tied to project-based learning, to provide rigorous, accessible resources for all middle school science students.
