Ethan Leung

I am interested in the Visual Development Intern position. As an animation and filmenthusiastwith hands-on industry experience, I bring a strong foundation in environmental background design and a deep enthusiasm for visual storytelling.

Most recently, I had the incredible opportunity to work as the Environmental Concept Designer on Sony Studio’s Demo filmEuropa where I created the “Ice Cave” concept art among other background scenes. My designs were then adopted and converted into the 3D virtual background for the filming. Please check out my portfolio for my design and the eventual scene. As part of the pre-production team, I worked closely with the director to develop rich, atmospheric backgrounds that supported the film's cinematic vision. This experience sharpened my eye for composition, lighting, and detail, and reinforced the importance of collaboration and iteration in a studio pipeline.

I am a rising Junior at the USC’s School Cinematic Art, majoring in Animation+Digital Art and I am trained in illustration, animation technique and concept designs. Looking into the future, I want to start working to develop my career path. I hope I could have the opportunity to intern at your company.
