Overnight Stocker - Meijer-Ypsilanti & Adrian Meijer store - Meijer-Ypsilanti, MI

I spent 25 years at Ypsilanti, Meijer, then transferred to Adrian Meijer store, spending just shy of 12 years there, totaling over 36 years of service to Meijer alone. I started out by working in the bottle department. I then moved to night grocery, as a stocker.
I also worked dairy & frozen and did order writing for those departments as well. I was also licensed to drive industrial lift trucks and was responsible for unloading trucks. I was also licensed to operate the sky lift, for hanging signs around the different departments.
As an associate, I ran the night crews at both stores for many years, and was responsible for covering the managers days off, and placing people at different jobs. I was promoted to manager for 1 year before stepping down for family responsibilities frankly. I was also in charge of taking inventories on the night shift.
At the end of January 2020, and also the end of my service at Meijer, I blew my shoulder out (torn rotator cuff and bicep, and scapula muscle) during the covid pandemic, and it took them ten months to operate so I would be able to lift my arm again and get motion back in it.
