My duties as a occupational therapist include but are not limited to: evaluations of individual’s functional status (muscle function, endurance, visual coordination, written and verbal communication skills, self-care ability, work capacity, etc.), identify equipment needs, participate in the development of the total plan of care, develops treatment programs and establishes goals for improved function, and communicates the plan of care to referring physicians and other Directors of Rehabilitation. I am capable of teaching new skills or retrain individuals in once familiar daily activities that have been lost due to illness or injury. I demonstrate the ability to maintain appropriate clinical records, clinical notes, report findings to a physicians and maintain contacts and communication with other personnel involved in a individual’s care to promote coordinated, efficient care.

I also contribute to in-services, case conferences, and other meetings.
