George Sefer

I started my filmmaking career writing and directing for independent projects in my home country of Greece, while also working as a freelance videographer/Editor on the side. This time laid the foundation for my creative thinking and my passion for direction, which drove me to pursue a film Degree in the US, recently graduating from the Savannah College of Art and Design. I like to think outside the box and to pursue ideas that speak to me on a personal level, which has prompted me to direct some pretty unique projects in the past year, including a Pilot Episode for Limited Series and my first Feature film.

I have a strong passion for storytelling and find directing to be the perfect crossroads between skills I practiced as a youth, including writing, acting, photography and drawing. I enjoy working with like-minded creatives and people who share a love for the craft.

• Writer/Director for Feature Film, ADAM, EB Studios, April 2023-December 2025 Veria, Greece. Worked closely with producers and crew for over two years to ensure the successful filming and completion of the original film across all stages of production.
• Writer/Director for a Pilot, DORIAN, SCAD, February 2023-March 2025 Savannah , GA Worked on the development of the pilot for a limited series (based on Oscar Wilde's "The Picture of Dorian Gray") as co-writer, and directed the cast and crew throughout production and post-production.
• Videographer/Editor, Eugene Varaklis, December 2019-June 2023

  Veroia, Greece

  • Coordinated the setup of live event recordings, including concerts, plays, and tournaments.
  • Oversaw multi-camera shoots, and edited the footage to best showcase the events.
  • Lead Videographer/Editor for the company's 2019 Goran Bregović concert assignment under the supervision of ΚΕΠΑ (Non-Profit Developmental Association for the Region of Veroia)
  • Freelance Writer/Director, for Belladonna Pictures, 2018-2022, Greece Wrote and directed 7 Award Winning short films affiliated with the Group. 

• Attended Anatolia College to pursue the 2 year IBPD Diploma with a focus in Film, Theatre and English Literature.
• Attended SCAD (Savannah College of Art and Design) in Savannah and Atlanta GA, graduating with a Master's Degree in Directing for Film and TV
