Gianna Merante

I am Gianna Merante, a first-year math teacher. I am currently sitting for my certification exams in Mathematics and Special Education as I just graduated this past May with my Masters in Special Education. I had the opportunity to create lesson plans, formative and summative assessments, and teach a math lab which offers supports for students who struggle in math.

School in Ossining as well as White Plains High School during my junior and senior year of my undergraduate degree. I had the opportunity to full time teach at my alma mater Maria Regina as a Geometry teacher for the 2022-2023 school year. I created lesson plans, unit plans, formative and summative assessments, offered extra help every lunch period, and coordinated with the math department chair every week to go through everything I would cover that week.

I completed my Bachelors in Adolescent Education with a concentration in Mathematics as well as my Masters in Special Education this past May. I am currently sitting for my certification exams for which I will receive my results on August 2nd of 2023.
