After spending four (4) years in the United States Marine Corps, I worked in the Refinery / Chemical Industry for ~5 years as a welder. I took classes at night and became AWS Certified Welding Inspector. I worked for Performance Contractor for 17 years as a Quality Manager.
I was responsible for the Quality Departments on Multi-Million Dollar New Construction, Turnaround, and Maintenance Contracts. This position allowed me to learn more about Civil Work, Structural Steel, Piping, Rotating and Fixed Equipment. I furthered my education by taking courses through the American Petroleum Institute to become an API-510 Pressure Vessel Inspector & API-570 In-Service Piping Inspector.
I also worked as a High School welding instructor for 4 years.
