• Represented clients in immigration court for defensive asylum cases and bond hearings
• Collected testimony from clients and witnesses and prepare corresponding affidavits for court filings
• Prepared motions for submission to the court and requests for prosecutorial discretion from DHS

Immigrant and Workers Rights Legal Intern, May 2023 – August 2023

• Interviewed over 30 human trafficking victims to prepare and file deferred action applications 
• Prepared and filed a complaint with the U.S. Department of Labor on behalf of over 100 labor trafficking victims
• Organized and participated in a pro se clinic to prepare asylum applications for Venezuelan asylees

Legal Intern, January 2021 – May 2021

• Drafted motions in limine, prepared jury instructions, and assisted with witness preparation for court proceedings 
• Categorized relevant evidence by witness, transcribed 911 calls, and analyzed videos to aid in case development
• Observed and took notes for attorneys during preliminary hearings, trials, and sentencing hearings
