Grace Hwang

Entry-level Network Engineer currently pursuing Cisco CCNP certification and Azure certifications. I have hands-on experience configuring and troubleshooting routing and switching protocols like OSPF, EIGRP, and BGP. Some of my technical skills include TCP/IP networking, subnetting, VLANs, NAT, and networking security fundamentals.

I also have experience using Wireshark, GNS3, Packet Tracer, and AWS Cloud. I believe my strengths lie in my attention to detail as well as strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

I pride myself in my eagerness to learn new things and adapt to rapidly changing environments—a quality that lies at the core of technology. In my time since graduating college, I made it a point to pursue personal goals and learn new skills such as joining a run club, teaching myself to operate a sowing machine, and get out of my comfort zone to meet new people. And now my gears have shifted toward pursuing CCNP and the Azure 900 and 104 certifications to expand my understanding of cloud governance and security.

I am eager to build experience and begin my career in tech. As a fresh grad, while I’m excited by roles in the tech industry, I’m equally enthusiastic about contributing my technical skills to companies in other sectors that rely on technology to drive their operations.

I have mostly worked retail since 2019 (Nordstrom, 85 C Bakery), but in terms of technical experience, I have various personal networking projects that I have documented in a portfolio that I can provide upon request.
