I am interested in teaching young children. I want to help them grow developmentally socially and physically. I have spent many years as a substitute teacher and have prioritized the safety and well being of the children first and foremost. Working with classroom teachers has taught me about the importance of maintaining a clean supervised space where children can learn and thrive. Collaboration is key in any educational setting and I take pride in my ability to work with a team. I have 15 units in child development classes from Bakersfield College.

I have worked many years as a substitute teacher. Prior to that I had a job as a first-second combination classroom teacher for one year. I got married and had children so I began subbing as it was more convenient for me to be home with my children more.

Since 2017 I have taken 15 units of child development classes. I need to work as an assistant teacher so I can get my 50 hours in for associate teacher permit.
