I am a violinist currently based in the Philadelphia/Wilmington area, performing in orchestras and teaching as full-time violin/viola faculty at the Music School of Delaware. I have been teaching for over 10 years, offering private and institutionalized lessons and classes. My specialties include a wide-range of pedagogy, focusing on pedagogues such as Shinichi Suzuki, Mimi Zweig, Dorothy Delay, Ivan Galamian, Paul Rolland, and I am certified in the Grossman Method, the last of which was developed and published by my long-term teacher Hal Grossman.
I received my Doctor of Musical Arts degree with a specialization in pedagogy from the University of Oregon in June of 2024, where I studied closely with a variety of teachers and participated in many performing opportunities. I received my Master's in Music degree and Performers Certificate from Missouri State University, where I held a private studio of around 30 students, and my Bachelor's in Music degree from the University of Oklahoma, where I held leadership positions in the school's orchestras as well as was being an inaugural member of the University of Oklahoma Undergraduate Honor's String Quartet.
During my years of performing, I have held both permanent sub positions, serving as Principal Second Violin in the Newport Symphony Orchestra in Newport, Oregon, and performing with orchestras across the country. Orchestras I have performed with as a sub include: Delaware Symphony, Eugene Symphony, Eugene Concert Orchestra, Symphony of Northwest Arkansas, Kennett Symphony, Newark Symphony, Rogue Valley Symphony, Tulsa Signature Symphony, and many others.
My performances today include recitals all across the East Coast, holding performances in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Delaware, and New Jersey.
