As a creative teacher, one of my primary goals is to facilitate accessibility for students' diverse needs and to cultivate a collaborative learning ecosystem. We can empower our students to develop curiosity, humor, dynamic thinking skills, authenticity, resilience, and a sense of well-being.
In my previous role as an emotional support art teacher with PHMC, I developed a specialized, creative, multidisciplinary Makerspace program that opens an environment for individuals' diverse learning, cultural, emotional, expressive, sensory, and processing needs within an individual's creative and authentic practice. This program is a space where we can practice making connections with ourselves and with others, while progressively threading into other communities, vocations, and multicultural applications.
