Ian Kavanagh

My name is Ian Kavanagh, and I am graduating from the University of Miami in May 2026 with a double major in finance and business analytics. I am actively seeking entry-level opportunities in financial analysis and data analytics within the New York City area. I am particularly interested in roles that allow me to apply my skills in Excel, SQL, and financial analysis to solve real-world business problems.

I have completed huge amounts of relevant coursework in data visualization, investment analysis, and statistics, and I am very eager to contribute to a dynamic and hard-working passionate team. I am very open to all possible connections and learning about what opportunities there are for jobs that I can seek within these fields.

I recently served as a hedge fund summer analyst at Interval Partners, LP, where I conducted bottom-up equity research on industrials companies by using Microsoft Excel and Bloomberg Terminal. I also analyzed financial statements and market trends, and maintained valuation models to support investment decisions, while presenting findings to senior analysts.

Previously, I worked as an inside sales representative intern at New Castle Building Products where I tracked sales data and coordinated logistics to enhance customer satisfaction. I have also worked at JP McHale Pest Management a couple summers ago where I worked as an accounting intern who conducted accurate and timely reporting.

I am currently a senior at the University of Miami pursuing a bachelor of science in business administration, double majoring in finance and business analytics. My expected graduation date is May 2026.
