I have also been an actor, a dancer, and practiced kickboxing.
I have worked in med/surg, oncology, and the preoperative area in hospitals and also in outpatient infusion centers. The floor I worked on in med/surg was considered as close to ICU as med/surg could get in a busy downtown public hospital. In pre-op, I worked with all demographics of patients, sick to well from children as young as 8 years old to geriatric patients. In the infusion center, I worked with chronic care out-patients receiving infusions or injections on a routine basis.
I had two semesters left (only lacking pediatrics and the final practicum) before receiving my FNP doctorate from UTC. I have now swapped majors to PMHNP.
Most recent completed degree is my Bachelor of Science in Nursing. I also have associates degrees in the science of nursing and in the arts.
