I grew up in Salem moving to Southern California in my early 20's. I have always visited Oregon many times per year as my parents are still here. Last spring I determined that my sister could use assistance withmy aging parents; my father has severe dementia and mother has bone cancer. I arrived in April and have been here since.
At this moment I am seeking either temporary or permanent work, preferably part time. I bring years of experience to the table. I am familiar with and have interacted with people of various cultures, ethnicities, gender spectrum, creeds, and religions.
I am always appropriately attired and groomed, well versed on current events and diverse subjects. I am exceptionally interested in advocacy, assisting those who are voiceless, those who need help maneuvering this very difficult health system, locate resources, and those who need someone to decipher the ins and outs of overall care. I have first hand experience in advocacy for friends and family with cancer, autism, autoimmune illnesses, dementia, and currently with the elder care of my own parents.
My experience as a volunteer in a level one Trauma Emergency Department; Cedars Sinai, Los Angeles reinforced my ability to astutely take direction, work as team member, as a leader, and acting with common sense (a rare trait these days!) and speed while remaining calm and in the present.
Over 20 years of experience as an international communications /branding executive and over 10 years as an advocate for the voiceless. I have experience as such in the medical, elderly, addiction, and trafficked/sexually abused arenas.
My experience is more all encompassing than my education which focussed on psychology, special education, and communications many years ago.
