Isabel Kasdin

I am finishing my last course at SUNY New Paltz. In August, I will have a B.A. in History. I have participated in two archaeological digs and have worked for three summers as a Museum Educator at the Hudson River Maritime Museum in Kingston, New York. I plan to relocate to Washington, D.C. in late August 2024.

For the past three summers, I have worked in various positions for the Hudson River Maritime Museum in Kingston, New York. During my first summer at the museum in 2022, I worked as a deckhand and guide aboard our Solar tour boat, Solaris, giving tours of a lighthouse. In my second year, I was given the responsibility of schedule coordinator for the museum’s tour boat and participated in updating our historic tour programs.

At this time, I worked simultaneously as a tour boat coordinator and museum educator, giving guided history tours through our museum to field trip classes and private groups. In addition, I have participated in two archaeological digs and have hands-on experience excavating and preserving artifacts.

In August of 2024, I will receive my Bachelors of Arts from the State University of New York At New Paltz. My major is History with a focus in Latin America.
