Isabella Hwang

I am a public relations specialist graduating this spring with a Bachelors in Public Relations and a minor in Sociology. I am passionate about healthcare public relations and DE&I. I have had an expansive career in my undergrad so far, with roles ranging from campaign team lead to grant writer.

I am currently the team lead for a federal lobbying campaign aimed to preserve Great Salt Lake. I am also doing Native American advocacy in this role. Additionally, I am currently a social media manager for a local business here in Provo, and my roles range from branding to reel creation.

I was the team lead for the 3rd place team in the 2022 National PRSSA competition, which consisted of me leading and building a public health campaign for the largest foundation for Lymphoma research, the Lymphoma Research Foundation. I have had digital marketing agency experience working for 11+ clients at 97th Floor, and I have also been a grant writer and PR specialist for a healthcare tech company called HealthTree. Before that position, I was the social media manager for a non-profit called Reach10, which helped pornography victims.

I am about to graduate with a Bachelor's in Public Relations and a minor in Sociology at Brigham Young University. Relevant coursework includes visual media, campaign planning, social media, pr writing, and medical sociology. I was VP of Diversity and Inclusion for BYU PRSSA and also Assistant Firm Director for BYU PRSSA. In my role I wrote newsletters, planned events, and helped with branding for the firm's clients.
