Dear ESPN,
I appreciate your consideration of my application for a summer internship at ESPN. I am a junior in the video production major at the University of Colorado, Boulder, and pursuing a career where I can use my creativity and knowledge of football to tell emotional, entertaining, and accurate stories through video production.
During the past two summers, I worked full-time as a video production intern at Atomic Productions Inc. in the San Francisco Bay Area where I gained great experience in this industry.
Productions, I had responsibilities that included writing and editing several videos for the 49ers and San Jose State athletics, shooting on location for several corporate clients, and working as a production assistant for projects with NFL legends such as Steve Young, Jim Plunkett, Ronnie Lott and Kyle Shanahan.
I’ve had a passion and drive for video ever since I picked up my first camera at age 8. I also am a sports enthusiast, whether it’s participating on intramural sports teams in college, or cheering for my favorite teams in Boulder and the Bay Area. I believe my passion for sports and video, along with my direct experience in the industry, make me a great candidate for the internship program at ESPN.
I would be very grateful for the opportunity to interview for this program and share more about my background and experience.
