started as a server at 19 years old in 2017. After 2 years I was promoted to bartender. The position not only requires us to be knowledgeable in hospitality and quality customer service but also perform as an entertainer to ensure customer morale.
I've gotten exceptional reviews and I'm skilled in fast service, remembering recipes, multitasking, working under pressure and in fast paced environments as well as mixing and recommending cocktails and other menu items. After a few years I was promoted to hourly manager. I was responsible for guaranteed customer satisfaction and hospitality as well as coming to aid my team members in both the FOH and BOH, so I am also trained in working in kitchens.
I have certification in both responsible alcohol service and food handling as well as cpr. I have also been responsible for job interviews, handling money when doing server checkouts at the end of the shift, daily and nightly tip shares, nightly paper work, inventory, beer and liquor orders, counting the safe, and dropping the nightly deposit as well as turning in the deposit. I've gotten many compliments from my higher-ups for my compliance, assistance and work ethic during this time, and earned an employee of the year reward as well as a raise in 2022.
I have been offered promotions but declined to maintain workload and a balanced schedule between work and school. I plan to enroll in the spring to get my bachelors in psychology.
