Hi there! My name is Jaime, and I’m currently a faculty here in Portland, Oregon at University of Portland in the School of Nursing. I began this role about two years ago after stepping away from bedside full time; I worked the pandemic throughout the US in the ICUs, and I knew it was time for a change.
Since coming to education, I love my job more than I could have imagined. Working with students has given me a newfound passion for nursing, and a reminder as to why I do what I do. This job is more fulfilling than any role I’ve stepped into as a nurse, and I feel like I’ve finally found my place in nursing with becoming an educator.
