SENIOR (LEAD) CUSTODIAN at LAWRENCE BERKELEY NATIONAL LABORATORY (2016-06 – Present)
- Assist in planning and organizing manpower, equipment and materials in the execution and accomplishment of assigned projects for the custodial shop.
- Lead a team of between 6-20 people depending upon if other Senior Custodians are on duty or not.
- Do inspections on buildings and evaluations for those whom I supervise.
- Order supplies.
- Do work orders.
- Am on the interview panel. Interview prospective employees and am a part of the hiring process.
- Identify and solve problems; develop, evaluate, and implement alternative solutions to cleaning solutions and building maintenance.
- Help with staffing issues, scheduling of employees, and building assignments.
- Keep accurate records and maintain work orders through Maximo.
CUSTODIAN at LAWRENCE LIVERMORE NATIONAL LABORATORY (2014-09 – 2016-06)
- Cleaned various LLNL facilities by sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, sanitizing restrooms, buffing, and waxing the floors, removal of trash from buildings and dumpsters.
- Maintained janitor closet and janitorial equipment.
- Ensured proper labeling, dilution, and use of all chemicals.
- Held a Q clearance.
CUSTODIAN at ACADEMY OF ALAMEDA MIDDLE SCHOOL (2012-08 – 2014-07)
- Opened the school in the morning by unlocking all doors, putting up the flag, and setting cones out for traffic.
- Emptied all the trash receptacles and separated out recycling.
- Cleaned bathrooms, swept interior and exterior school grounds.
- Mopped floors.
- Did maintenance including fixing broken furniture and replacing lights and light fixtures.
- Monitored students during lunch.
- Monitored students in detention and assigned cleaning tasks around the school.
