As a Director on the BDO Forensics GRC team, I designed BDO’s Privacy Technology practice and brought it to market. I onboarded and directed a multinational team of Privacy Engineers and Technologists, and identified, scoped, and directed the successful delivery of dozens of client engagements, including:
● Implementation and integration of Privacy Program Management technologies such as OneTrust,
TrustArc, WireWheel, Security.ai, Transcend.io, Microsoft Priva, and others
● Integration of such technologies with privacy-adjacent solutions including ERP, data discovery, enterprise architecture, consumer engagement, workflow, access management, and other technologies
● Assessment, design, and implementation of cross-platform consent controls to help clients identify and manage consent across websites, social media feeds, and mobile applications
● Implementation of Privacy by Design principles, including the incorporation of such principles in clients’
Vendor Management, Digital Marketing, Enterprise Risk, SDLC, and other practices
I served Privacy Technology clients across multiple industries, including Life Sciences, Public Sector,
Non-Profit, Technology, Hospitality, Manufacturing, and Financial sectors. I grew Privacy Technology revenue by 371% over three years, and had attained $1.2M in sales through the first half of FY2023.
Recognized as an expert in the implementation and administration of privacy programs, I was named a Fellow of Information Privacy (FIP) by the International Association of Privacy Professional (IAPP). I hold four
(4) IAPP Privacy Certifications and have conducted certification courses preparing hundreds of attorneys,
privacy technologists, clients and other privacy professionals for the following industry certifications:
● Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM)
● Certified Information Professional (CIPP/E and CIPP/US)
● Certified Information Privacy Technologist (CIPT)
I was also BDO’s thought leader in applying privacy principles to Blockchain-based applications. The presentation I delivered on this topic (“Privacy and the Blockchain Paradox”) was named one of the most highly-rated sessions at the 2022 RSA .
