Where my passion and purpose align is offering healing hands and health education. Making a difference in someone's life can be the most rewarding thing one can do for another person. To make a difference, it takes the ability to realize that another individual needs help, then the willingness and determination to develop the skills, education, and resources needed.
I understand the value of providing help, because for the longest time I have been on the receiving end. I grew up as an orphan in Morocco. I was passed around between several families till the age of six when an American missionary family took me in. Growing up as an orphan has taught me to genuinely care for people, as so many people helped me get to where I am today.
Nightingale who stood firm to her passion in healing the sick and laying down the foundation for nursing, despite the opposition she faced as a woman in the 19th century, I too have worked hard to be where I am today despite my circumstances, all to make a difference in the world.
