A 2020 Graduate from Pacific University with my B.A. in Biology. I currently work in an elder care facility in Spokane, WA. I love STEM, particularly finding my niche in the biological chemistry; I aspire to attend veterinary school in the next 5 years.
I'm a rapid learner, capable of adapting to any new work environment. My previous employment record includes, but is not limited to: library assistant, cashier, as well as done both volunteer and paid work with the Farmer's Market in my hometown of Forest Grove, OR.
Throughout my careers, I'm often left picking up the slack that was left by the previous establishment. I take on this additional workload with a perseverant attitude. Whether it means staying late to cover shifts, taking responsibility for the misconduct of crew members, or setting a pace for others to match, I always show up. Within my professional career these factors are common and disheartening. However, nothing will keep me from sharing my passion for a safe and healthy workplace.
My college major, Biology, is the field where I excel most, flavored with a minor in chemistry. My alma mater, Pacific University, prepared me for rigorous hard science as well as giving me the liberty to explore music. Working with seniors for over 2 years, I'm currently in the process of obtaining my HCA license. My employer has a continued learning program that keeps me sharp and up to date on the skills necessary to help elders make the most of their golden years.
