My experience as a Full Stack Developer Intern has prepared me in various ways for a new role. Firstly, it has equipped me with strong technical skills. Specifically, I have deep knowledge of coding languages such as JavaScript and Python, and having all of my experience being in Full Stack development I’ve learned a lot about connecting these languages to SQL databases. Secondly, working mostly independently at a small startup has enriched my critical thinking and problem solving skills, allowing me to quickly identify technical issues and offer effective solutions. Lastly, I am an excellent communicator and have a proven ability to break down complex problems into simple, understandable terms. I think this combination allows me to work effectively in teams as well as by myself.
Beyond my professional experience, my top three strengths are critical thinking, problem solving, and communication. Aside from working in software development, a lot of my experience has been in education. Working with a group of peers to provide care and create learning experiences for young people has taught me how to communicate with clarity and compassion.
