I was part of the BLTS, a unit of the Haitian National Police.The BLTS, or Brigade de Lutte contre le Trafic de Stupéfiants, is Haiti's counternarcotics unit within the Haitian National Police (HNP). The BLTS's name translates to "Controlling of Narcotics Trafficking Brigade". In 2014, the Haitian government increased the BLTS's manpower and has repeatedly committed to fighting drug trafficking.
The Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) has also helped build the BLTS's capacity by constructing facilities to support its deployment, such as airport canine compounds and border check points.
