I am currently a student at The University of Texas at Dallas pursuing a degree in Healthcare Management and Military Science. Between working and studying I always try to find a way to give back to my community. In high school, I participated in Key Club and Mission Arlington.
During my time volunteering, I led many successful events that lead to my high school having a positive relationship with the community. After high school, I still felt like giving back to the community so I joined the Army Reserves. With being in the Army Reserves it allows me to pursue a higher education while still giving back to my community.
For 3 years, I gained customer service experience by working full-time at a local store as a sales representative. While working at a local store, I learned how to interact with customers and build strong sales relationships. Since then I have worked at Brinks as a full-time cash logistics processor. My responsibilities entails of processing, verifying and reconciling inbound and outbound currency transactions as well as preparing outbound currency orders and replenishments.
My fellow co-workers and employers have described me as a natural born leader, dependable, team player when the task requires me to be one, and very self driven. It is because of these skills that I joined ROTC to further refine and perfect my leadership skills. It is in this class that I am being put in constant situations where I must be able to lead others, be adaptable, and have critical problem solving skills.
I am projected to graduate in May 2025 and I plan on pursuing a career as a Healthcare Manager in the DFW area. My end goal is to eventually make a positive and long lasting impact on our current healthcare system in the US. In the meantime, I will continue to further develop my leadership and problem solving skills.
