after 3 years in the army, i became a union ironworker in st.louis mo. i retired in 2013, but love the out doors and worked outside my whole life. looking for part time, or full time to keep me active. unlike my neighbors, i still do my own yardwork. tired of sitting at my computer or watching t.v. thanks
built bridges, high rises , office builings ect. can read blueprints, can operate forklifts, manlifts, lawn mowers, ect. i started this trade in 1979 after 3 years in the army. i retired in 2013, but i still remain active.
in the army i trained as a wheeled vehicle mechanic, and was responsible for suppling generator power to missle launchers and radar equipment at a missle site in south florida. my most relevant education would probably be the construction training school that the ironworkers made us go to for 2 nights a week for 3 years. thats where they taught us rigging, structural steel erection, welding, bluprints, ect.
