I am an alumni of UNLV who completed their Master's Program in Spring 2025. I started off my career as an accountant doing beginner level individual taxes and document preparation with my position in Jackson Hewitt. I have been a part of Ovist & Howard CPA's since January 2025 and have been learning about the preparation of various corporate returns among other various tax topics that I am grateful to learn. I hope to further my knowledge as I continue forward.

Staff Accountant at Ovist & Howard CPAs (2025-01 – Present)

• Completes a variety of tax returns by utilizing software such as: Engagement, File Cabinet, Document, Fixed Assets, etc.
• A range of 2-8 corporate tax returns are completed and sent for review every day depending on the amount of documentation, activity and other factors that impact difficulty.
• Practices effective inquiry and note taking skills to ensure that the tax returns are accurate, complete, and finished in a timely manner.
• Practiced bookkeeping in QuickBooks for clients, inputting annual activity and generating financial statement reports based on what was needed.

Campus Store Team Member - Seasonal at Barnes and Nobles Education (2024-08 – 2024-12)

• Performed inventory management by analyzing physical inventory on the floor and through software to fill stock
• Practiced excellent customer service skills by identifying the needed materials of the customer and efficiently filling out their order, often servicing a range of 6-12 students after busy season

Entry Level Tax Preparer - Seasonal at Jackson Hewitt (2022-12 – 2023-04)

• Optimized and electronically prepared individual tax returns with various forms of income for tax reviewers
• Conducted tax law research for individual cases by using tax publications on the IRS website, and substantiated with reviewers

Part Time Sales Associate at Lakeshore Learning Store (2021-05 – 2022-03)

• Performed inventory management by conducting inventory counts to authenticate that physical stock matches reported inventory levels
• Utilized internal controls on the floor by signing off with a manager on ending cash amounts at the end of shifts through observing and verifying that the manager handles money with respect to the regulations
