I earned my Master's degree in occupational therapy from Walsh University. I fell in love with occupational therapy through personal experience and am passionate about the holistic approach. While at Walsh, I had fieldwork experience in skilled nursing, inpatient rehab, schools, pediatric outpatient, homeless shelter, adult day program, and a few mental health/psychosocial settings.
I have strengths in interpersonal communication, attention to detail, and the ability to connect with those around me. I am looking for a workplace that is supportive, caring, and inspired.
I have over 10 years of experience, in a variety of roles, working with individuals with developmental disabilities. Additionally, I completed Level II Fieldwork in two different school districts, an inpatient rehab hospital and a skilled nursing facility. It afforded me the opportunity to gain clinical experience with clients from 3-85 years old.
During my internships, I had developed relationships with colleagues that helped me develop my ability to apply clinical knowledge while forging authentic connections with clients and their families. I feel this experience along with my personal background, as a parent of a special needs child, has equipped me with a unique set of skills.
I completed a bachelor's degree in fashion merchandising from the University of Akron and a master's degree in occupational therapy from Walsh University.
