I'm a senior mechanical engineering student specializing in manufacturing, HVAC & mechatronics with 1.5 years of civil engineering-related Internship experience. I am currently working as a design trainee II at San Francisco Public Works where I review wet utility (water & sewer) designs, and stamped engineering, electrical and architectural drawings from companies such as PG&E, AT&T, CableCom LLC, Sheeran Pipeline, Bassett Engineering, etc.
I want to express my interest in working as a safety coordinator intern.
Southland is the next best step in my career, both as a potential intern and entry-level engineer, because I have completed four engineering-related and one legislative-related internships that involved design, construction, inspections, and communication. These experiences are valuable for Southland because:
I am an aspiring engineer with a diverse background in design, construction, and project management, gained through five internships in San Francisco and the rest of Bay Area cities. My roles as a design trainee, consultant, engineering intern, and legislative intern have equipped me with a robust skill set that aligns perfectly with Southland's commitment to innovative construction methods and technology-driven safety coordination and project management.
During my internships, I have:
As I prepare for my FE exam and anticipate graduating in December 2025, I am eager to bring my diverse experiences and technical skills to Southland. I am excited about the opportunity to contribute to Southland's projects through prefabrication, modular construction, and advanced technology tools, ensuring efficient project execution and delivering optimal results.
I am currently a senior mechanical engineering student at California State University, Sacramento. I acquired an associate's degree in mathematics in August 2022. I have done laboratory activities related to material testing (concrete, metal, and plastics), simulations, CAD modeling, and many more.
I am actively participating in leadership and extracurricular activities such as reviving a club, gaining up to 36 active members, landing $3,300 funding, making our club well-known and established through a publicly posted article, and leading it as the president. Beyond that, I am shadowing officers in American Society of Civil Engineers and mentoring students in Willie Brown Fellowship. I have also held other positions such as being a co-founder of Building Bridges and serving as a secretary for Student Associations of Laboratory Scientists.
