After leaving CSU, still undeclared and not knowing what I wanted to do, I looked back at my childhood and tried to find something I was passionate about. I realized that film was a constant in my life, right from the beginning. From making stop-motion Lego videos to short Star Wars films with my neighborhood friends, a camera was always there.

As I got older and headed into high school, my favorite class was Media Tech; a class that generated video content for the school’s news program. The class did not have the best equipment but nonetheless, I learned and found the love of editing, acting, and filming, which allowed me to create new skits every week. Thanks to the instructors at The Colorado Film School, I learned the technical skills to pursue my passion.

Great films, like music or art, stand the test of time. They are important to society because they make us think and have challenging discussions.
