Work Experience___________

Sedgwick- Southfield, MI April 2025- Present Disability Examiner- Leave of Absence/ FMLA- Hybrid Position

• Make claim determinations to approve, deny and make recommendations based on the disability plan and supporting medical documentation. Determines benefits due and make timely claim payments and adjustments for offsets. Informs claimants of documentation required to process claims, required timeframes, payment information and claims status by phone, written correspondence and using a claims system. Used several proprietary software systems to handle the caseload while doing this job. 

• Practiced Social Security Disability Law at a large national firm. Used administrative skills to order necessary evidence, develop legal arguments, strategies and write legal briefs. Argued cases before Federal Administrative Law Judges. Cross examined expert vocational and medical witnesses. Prepared clients to provide testimony under oath. Traveled throughout the USA to represent clients in person, over the phone and via video. Used all manners of software and administrative tools and processes in this job. 

• Establish and maintain relationships with perspective and former customers to ensure total car ownership satisfaction. Earned and maintained the trust of the customer to maintain a reputation beyond reproach. Successful at overcoming objections, building value and closing automotive sales. • Same job description as above, but mostly phone based. Sold and serviced insurance policies simultaneously.
