As a developer for the internal CMS at Onward Search (read below), I played a significant role in its reorganization and subsequent rebranding into a new product as Recruitics. This transition involved transforming a product tailored for one company into a marketable solution for multiple companies. Throughout this process, I utilized various languages and software, including Coldfusion, SQL, JavaScript (jQuery, ExtJS, HighCharts, Twitter Bootstrap), CFML, HTML5, CSS3, Dreamweaver, Sublime, SQL Server Management, and SourceSafe.
Feb 2010 - Apr 2012 (2 years 3 months)
As a CMS developer, my responsibilities included creating a user-friendly system for recruiters to post jobs on the company website, implementing APIs to automate posting on social media pages, and integrating with Bullhorn, the organizational system. I also designed a comprehensive reporting system that captured job applicant data, click-through rates, and submission metrics through the CMS.
Additionally, I developed data manipulation tools for administrative purposes and worked on side projects for other company holdings, such as Onward Healthcare and Onward MD.
Throughout these tasks, I utilized a range of languages and software, including Coldfusion, SQL, JavaScript (jQuery, ExtJS, HighCharts), CFML, HTML, CSS, Dreamweaver, Sublime, SQL Server Management, and SourceSafe. Initially, I was hired to reorganize and enhance the internal CMS, creating user-friendly forms and tools for data manipulation. Upon upper management's request, I co-directed a web redesign project and optimized the data structure to improve job posting input and output on the company's website.
I integrated the Bullhorn API into the CMS to enhance functionality, enabling tracking of applicant views and clicks to monitor preferences. I developed tabular and graphical reporting features using Coldfusion cfcs and jQuery AJAX calls. Furthermore, I integrated the company's Twitter account into the CMS by establishing communication through a JAVA connector and customized Coldfusion CFC package.
This integration allowed for automatic job posting updates on Twitter, and I developed tools for creating custom Twitter messages using SQL data, Coldfusion CFC, and jQuery AJAX calls.
In terms of analytics, I collected data on job postings, including visits and applicants, and built reports. I created line graphs and pie charts to visualize daily, weekly, and monthly trends in applicants and visits. I also gathered data on job posting sources to determine the most effective channels.
