My name is Joshua lomothey and I have worked in facilities services for over six years. My background involves building maintenance, groundskeeping as well as maintenance work. It is something I have enjoyed and gained much knowledge in.
I have worked in differing education spaces from county offices to middle schools and universities. This has helped me to better understand the needs of each institution as well as give me the chance to be adaptable when necessary. One thing I pride myself on is my ability to work hard and find results that leave a lasting impact.
Over the course of these years I’ve come to understand and better appreciate all important aspects of facilities. Not just involving the work itself, but also the importance of interpersonal relationships, communication, and adaptability. These are important points for success in any space.
The reason I feel I would be an ideal fit for this institution is due to my ability to be personable. I’ve worked in facilities in many different areas from custodial to groundworks maintenance. This has given me a broad scope and understanding of duties and procedures required in facilities work.
Being personable and transparent with both management and staff to me helps build better work relationships and also promotes a healthier work environment. In a strong environment excellent work can be accomplished and good habits can be built. I would gladly welcome the opportunity to interview with yourinstitution and potentially become an integral part of this institution’s culture.
