Joshua Ruan

I am a junior studying finance at NYU Stern. I was born in America but spent most of my life traveling between Asia and America. Since my parents were always busy I had been living by myself since I was 15 years old. I enjoy being independent on my own and working on my goals with like minded people. Since I have been living on my own in different countries, I enjoy learning and adpating to different enviornements and people.

My skills in operations management, asset management, and most importantly a team player makes me an ideal candidate for this role. My experience includes multiple internships of overseeing day-to-day operations, leading projects and teams, developing and implementing process improvements, and mitigating risk. I have a proven track record of managing complex projects and meeting tight deadlines.

I have also proven my ability to cultivate strong relationships with staff, vendors and customers. I have also acquired the ability to problem solve, work collaboratively with others, and think strategically.

During my first 2 years at NYU, I had taken many finance related courses that help me develop skills in financial analysis and risk management. I also took many marketing and management classes where I develop strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
