I am a current masters student in medical science looking for opportunities in research related fields! I currently work virtually online as a Emergency Department and Outpatient scribe instructor. I used to work as Chief ED scribe at my hospital and have moved to education and teaching new scribes.
On my free time I enjoy spending times with family and friends. I have a very flexible schedule and am looking for any opportunities that will expose me to different types of research in science related fields.
I've spent the past few years working in the medical field, mainly with ScribeAmerica, and it’s really helped me build a solid foundation in healthcare. I started off as an Emergency Department scribe in Palmdale, where I worked side by side with doctors, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants, documenting patient encounters and helping things run smoothly. Over time, I got promoted to Chief Scribe, which meant leading a team of over 40 scribes.
I focused on improving our documentation processes, organizing meetings with hospital staff, and mentoring new team members. Eventually, I moved into a remote role as a scribe instructor, where I now train incoming scribes in virtual classrooms. I create engaging lesson plans, give feedback, and make sure they’re prepared to hit the ground running in clinical settings.
I also had a brief experience working at Rite Aid as a pharmacy technician in training, which gave me a glimpse into the pharmacy side of healthcare and helped strengthen my attention to detail and customer service skills.
I’m currently working on my Master of Medical Science at Baylor University, which I’ll be finishing in August 2025. Before that, I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Biology from California State University, Northridge in 2024. Both programs have really deepened my understanding of the medical field and prepared me to take on more advanced roles in healthcare.
