I have spent a good part of my profession connecting with and counseling teens and adult women who are currently in domestic violence relationships, entangled in human trafficking, or who have been subjected to human trafficking and trauma experiences. My passion is to support members of society who have experienced trauma, who have challenges with substance use, and who may be suffering silently from the symptoms of mental illness.
My work with clients takes the whole person, mind, body, and spirit into consideration. My goal is to hold space where clients can become empowered and live out their wholehearted stories. My eclectic approach includes using TF-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered, and Mindfulness approaches as well as pulling from other modalities when appropriate. I offer practices to support you on your journey of healing, personal growth, and transformation.
I am dedicated to making a trauma-informed approach to treatment, that is built on making counseling a collaborative process, as clients look to understand their lives.
Recently drawing on my passion as an Infant and Early Child Mental Health Consultant (IECMHC) with WI-AIMH (Wisconsin Alliance for Infant Mental Health, where the focus is social-emotional learning and relationship-based practices through raising public awareness, providing resources for professional development, and advocating for policies that are in the best interest of infants, young children, and their families.
