Experience

Head of Accounting and Finance at Bask Health (2025-02 – Present)

Leads the accounting and finance function for a high-growth telehealth infrastructure company whose no-code platform gives direct-to-consumer telemedicine businesses EMR, payment processing, patient management, and fulfillment through a retail, specialty, and compounding pharmacy network. Owns financial reporting, close, controls, FP&A, treasury, and tax compliance, and serves as the strategic finance partner to the executive team on pricing, unit economics, and scalable growth in a regulated healthcare technology environment.

  • Builds and leads the accounting and finance team, supervising and mentoring the Accounting Lead (CPA) and staff; sets close calendars, review standards, and priorities as strategy shifts.
  • Owns the month-, quarter-, and year-end close, approving journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis and signing off on GAAP financial statements.
  • Sets ASC 606 revenue recognition policy and oversees high-volume transaction processing and billing reconciliations across subscription, payment, and pharmacy fulfillment revenue, including Stripe-to-GL reconciliation and pharmacy partner payables.
  • Leads external audits and board- and investor-ready reporting; builds the operating budget, rolling forecasts, and cash flow models, and manages treasury and banking relationships.
  • Tracks SaaS and telehealth unit economics — ARR/MRR, churn, CAC, LTV, gross margin, and cost per patient encounter — to guide pricing and investment decisions.
  • Scales a modern finance stack on the Rillet cloud ERP and Stripe, directing workflow automation for a rapidly growing transaction pipeline.
  • Oversees multi-state sales tax nexus, corporate tax filings, internal controls, and HIPAA-aligned approval workflows, managing relationships with external CPAs and auditors.
  • Serves as escalation point for cross-departmental financial discrepancies, partnering with Operations, Engineering, and Data on data integrity and with executives on business cases, ROI, and pricing.
