I currently work at the Crisis Stabilization Unit, (Psych. ER). My duties include, providing a welcoming and safe environment for our clients, as we assist in supporting them during their mental health crisis.
I also share lived experiences, offer supportive active listening, various activities and companionship during their stay with us. At every opportunity I also engage in supportive, recovery model, trauma informed therapeutic conversations to encourage and empower our clients. We also practice identifying strengths and discuss goals or coping skills.
I also engage in seeking safety groups and facilitate WRAP plans (Wellness Recovery Action Plans) I have just completed the Medicare/ Medical Certification State Exam to be certified. I have a BS in Human Services and a MS in Psychology. This is my passion.
I entered this field as a result of personal experience with my husband and son. In learning more about their mental illnesses, I found my passion in life. I was created to be a helper and supporter, and I thrive in this field.

I was a founding member of the County of Orange, Trauma Informed Focus Group and was responsible for introducing recovery model language to the County of Orange, Crisis Stabilization Unit. This is my passion. I entered this field as a result of personal experience with my husband and son.
