Keith DeBrosse

My name is Keith DeBrosse and I’m a Mass Communications major at Georgia College. I grew up in Decatur, Georgia but frequently visit Ohio to see family during holidays and the summer.

I also have had a lot of experience working in marketing. During the summer of 2019, I was an intern for Blaze Sports of America and I handled their social media content I also helped plan for company events such as their summer camps. Last summer I worked for the Boy Scouts in their Atlanta office.

I worked with their marketing team and wrote up stories that showed how they’ve been making a difference in the community. I also met with senior development directors to help strategize long-term marketing plans.

During my time in school, I’ve taken many classes that have prepared me for an internship in communications. As a freshman, I took a Professional Media Writing and a Media Literacy course. In the media writing class, I learned how to write for media companies and complete tasks such as press releases and strategic communication campaigns. In the media literacy class, I learned about the many laws and regulations in place for media companies.
