I am a retired educator with 37 years of experience in public education, teaching high school English and Career Research and Decision Making. After a fulfilling career, I am seeking a substitute teaching or instructional assistant position where I can continue supporting students and schools in a flexible role. I bring strong classroom management skills, adaptability, and a student-centered approach.
I value consistency, clear expectations, and collaboration, and I take pride in being dependable, supportive, and prepared to step in wherever help is needed.
I dedicated 37 years to Brevard Public Schools, teaching high school English at Cocoa Beach Jr./Sr. High School, DeLaura Middle School, and Eau Gallie High School. My work focused on strong classroom management, student-centered instruction, and supporting diverse learners.
I also taught Career Research and Decision Making, helping students build academic, career, and life readiness skills. Throughout my career, I consistently earned Highly Effective performance evaluations and mentored new teachers by providing guidance in classroom strategies, curriculum planning, and professional expectations while collaborating closely with colleagues and administrators.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Secondary English Education from the University of Central Florida and maintain a current Florida Professional Teaching Certificate.
