Being a heavy equipment operator has been at the center of my life for as long as I can remember. I spent most of my childhood in the cab of an excavator tucked up next to my father as I watched him pull the levers. It didn't take long for me to start learning how to pull those levers myself.
Operating heavy equipment has led me down many roads; owning and running a business with my dad, working at a municipality, development companies and helping at our family farm. Now, I am looking forward to learning more about mining or logging and having the opportunity to work for a company that focuses on safety and quality.
My experience as an operator includes the maintenance and upkeep of my machines, which I believe is very important to everyday operations. In addition to equipment operations, I manage a working crew of 5-8 persons. Safety is of the utmost importance to me and my crew.
I conduct daily safety meetings and pride myself on keeping my crew safe. Furthermore; communication within a group of coworkers is essential to confidently completing each and every task. I am proficient with excavators, loaders, and dozers as an operator and have routinely handled daily maintenance and upkeep.
My experience predominantly includes self guided operation but I have some experience with GPS technology. Maintenance and knowledge of the equipment is of vital importance to my day to day operations.
Besides my extensive experience with multiple pieces of equipment, I have completed many certifications with OSHA including but not limited to Erosion, Safety Protocols, and Trenching.
