Rhett Taylor

My name is Rhett Taylor, and I have been in the landscape and turf field for over two years. I am currently on my last two semesters at East Mississippi finishing up my degrees in Turf Management and Landscape Management. I love to work on landscape projects for homeowners and also help people have healthy yards. I have worked for golf courses, landscape companies, and turf management companies. I have been involved with every aspect of the industry.

During my two plus years in the industry, I have worked in a couple different fields. The summer of 2022 I started working for a Turf management company called Weed Warriors. I helped them spray and fertilize over 1,500 clients in the Jackson metro area.

I am also working for them again this summer. This past school year I worked for the East Mississippi Community College golf course Lion Hills. I learned every aspect of the golf course. I also work part time for a landscaping company, Michael Nichols lawn and landscape.

I am learning how to manage people in a supervisory role. These last two semesters at school I will be working at Old Waverly in West Point.

I graduated from Brandon High school in 2021. I will graduate from East Mississippi in May 2024 with an associates degree in Turf Management and an associates in Landscape Management.
