Experienced Accountant and Accounts Payable Officer seeking for opportunities in the Bay Area.

With a strong foundation in accounting and financial management, I have experience as both an Accountant and Accounts Payable Officer. As an Accountant, I managed the preparation of monthly income statements, performed bank and credit card reconciliations, and oversaw the full cycle of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) for the branch. I was responsible for monitoring branch funds, expenses, and collections while ensuring accurate manual journal entries for month-end and year-end closing using SAGE 300.

Additionally, I calculated overriding commissions, issued official receipts, and supervised accounting staff, including training new employees and ensuring compliance with auditors. In my role as an Accounts Payable Officer, I processed supplier invoices with correct GL coding using Pronto IX, ran weekly vendor payments via EFT, and ensured timely authorization of invoices by relevant managers. I performed weekly supplier ledger reconciliations, archived processed invoices, and maintained daily bank reconciliations across multiple accounts.

I also supported the AR and payroll teams with ad hoc tasks, ensuring all deliverables met strict deadlines while contributing to smooth financial operations.

As an accounting major graduate, I gained a comprehensive understanding of financial reporting, managerial accounting, and corporate finance, equipping me with the skills to analyze financial data, prepare accurate financial statements, and support strategic decision-making. My education emphasized core principles such as budgeting, auditing, and taxation, alongside practical experience in using ERP systems like SAGE 300.
