Computer Science Major and Software Engineer passionate about scalable full-stack and AI-driven solutions. Currently interning at Up Cancer, rebuilding and modernizing a CRM (AWS, React, Express) to fund cancer patient support programs. Skilled in AI integration, translating UI/UX prototypes into functional code, and optimizing backend systems for efficiency. Focused on writing clean, mission-driven software and leveraging AI to enhance automation, data insights, and user experiences.
Kevin Wong has built strong full-stack development expertise and gained exposure to cutting-edge AI and systems engineering. As a Full Stack Software Engineer Intern at Up Cancer, he refactored a legacy CRM for an AWS migration, collaborating closely with UI/UX designers and improving backend performance. Simultaneously, in his AI and Construction Technology Initiative, he developed an AI-powered construction chatbot using Vue, Electron, and Ollama—integrating large-scale construction datasets, fine-tuning models, and architecting a scalable REST API.
He further honed his systems-thinking skills as a Ground Control Station Database Systems Engineer on a Northrop Grumman Collaboration Project, applying model-based systems engineering (MBSE) principles to meet stringent performance and design requirements. Prior to that, he served as a Predictive Analytics Developer at Clune Construction, where he delivered Python-based financial insights and received commendation for high-performing models. Earlier roles include an IT Intern at Center Theatre Group, where he streamlined asset management and boosted remote-work efficiency, and a Network Engineering Intern at NIS Consulting, where he gained fundamental networking knowledge and hands-on troubleshooting skills.
Kevin Wong is completing a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona (August 2021–May 2025), maintaining a 3.94 GPA. This program provides a solid foundation in both theoretical concepts and practical applications, equipping him with strong software engineering and problem-solving skills.
