Starting a new job always made nervous but never scared. I work better and faster hand-on then visualizing the that needs to be done. Once I get used to the environment and the way the work place operates I strive to be that top member and also find other ways to move up within the company so I can also get new knowledge on certain things.

My work days were Sunday-Thursday and Sunday being the start of the week I’d move trailers in and out of the doors after each load was completed throughout the night. For the rest of the week I’d either load or unload various products into the trailers.

• Operated yard jockey truck to move trailers and containers within the yard, ensuring efficient flow of goods
• Performed pre-trip inspections on yard jockey truck to ensure safe operation and report any maintenance issues
• Efficiently maneuvered yard jockey truck in tight spaces and congested areas, minimizing risk of accidents or damage
• Collaborated with warehouse team to prioritize trailer movements based on loading/unloading schedules
• Maintained accurate inventory records by properly documenting incoming and outgoing shipments
• Performed routine maintenance on forklifts, including inspections and minor repairs
• Utilized handheld scanners or computer systems to track inventory movement within the warehouse
• Operated various types of forklifts, such as sit-down, stand-up, reach truck, or clamp truck based on job requirements
• Inspected incoming shipments for accuracy in quantity and quality before storing them in designated locations
• Assisted in training new employees on safe operation techniques when operating a forklift
• Maintained a high level of accuracy when recording inventory movements using computerized systems or paper-based logs
