Experience
Senior MuleSoft Developer at Advantage Solutions (2025-04 – Present)
B2B Order Mgmt System. Designed and developed B2B EDI integrations between retailers, manufacturers, and the Salesforce Order Mgmt. and Case Mgmt. systems, routing X12 documents from Partner Manager through an API-led architecture for Purchase Orders, Invoices, Shipments and Fulfillments, Order-to-Cash, Order-to-Invoice, and Account Receivables reporting.
- Built and maintained Mule 4 applications and APIs across the B2B order management landscape — EDI order intake, invoice and PO reporting, and grocery order flows for retailer and manufacturer partners.
- Delivered end-to-end X12 document flows (850, 875, 855, 810, 880) over AS2 and SFTP, connecting Partner Manager to Salesforce OMS and Service Cloud so Order-to-Cash, invoicing, and fulfillment move without manual handoffs.
- Applied API-led connectivity in practice: system APIs over OMS, Service Cloud, and the EDI layer, process APIs holding orchestration and business rules, and experience APIs for consumers — keeping partner-specific quirks out of core flows.
- Implemented data extraction and integration flows between B2B systems and Salesforce Order Mgmt. applications, covering both scheduled batch runs and near real-time processing.
- Built validation, transformation, and a shared error-handling pattern into the flows so bad or partial documents are caught early and captured with enough context to be corrected and reprocessed.
- Wrote MUnit and integration tests covering happy paths and partner-specific edge cases, and kept them in the build so mapping changes could not quietly break a live partner.
- Monitored and tuned Mule flows in production, tracking down slow DataWeave transformations, connector latency, and resource contention before they showed up as missed EDI deadlines.
- Automated build and deployment across environments with Maven, GitHub, and Octopus, using environment-based and secure property management so promotions stayed repeatable.
- Adopted Claude Code and Claude Cowork in VS Code for day-to-day delivery — drafting and reviewing DataWeave mappings, generating MUnit cases, and diffing X12 payloads against partner specs, shortening turnaround on mapping changes and EDI triage.
- Cut EDI exception triage from hours to under 30 minutes and reduced failed-document rework by ~40% through the shared error-handling and reprocessing pattern — keeping retailer order flows inside their SLA windows through peak grocery volumes and removing manual re-keying for the operations team.
