I am currently the Executive Director of the Camden Public Library in Camden, ME, leading 17 PT/FT staff members in best-in-class library service. Formerly the Director of Libraries and Research Instructor at Canterbury School Fort Myers, a private college prep school in Florida, I brought personal connection to each and every interaction. For over eight years, I led the transformation of two libraries into 21st century information hubs, with stellar digital and print offerings for students and teachers.
Prior to my directorships, I cut my teeth in Library Programs management and Youth Services.
My core competencies include library management, nonprofit management, planning, vision casting, collection curation, program coordination, curriculum development, grant writing, and research instruction. I am passionate about building teams, solving puzzles, and creating communities of readers. I have a Master of Library Science from Indiana University Bloomington and a Master of Arts in Children's Literature from Hollins University.
I am also a former Fulbright educator and member of the 2022 John Newbery Medal Award Committee. I am looking for the next right opportunity to leverage my skills and expertise.
